work
current
Partner & tech lead at Coincident Systems, the engineering consulting arm of Stelna Ventures. Software engineering, data science, organizational design, quantitative modeling.
Graduate research engineer at Montana State's BioReD Hub. Healthcare systems optimization, neurotechnology, human factors.
background
10 years in cannabis tech. Built the web stack and kiosk systems at The Green Solution alongside Wes Pitcock, who led the POS and platform vision for Colorado's largest independent retailer. Compliance integrations (METRC, NAV Dynamics), mobile apps, distributed systems architecture. Later led platform engineering for a publicly traded multi-state operator.
15+ years total in web infrastructure. Platform architecture, ML pipelines, computer vision, ETL systems, analytics platforms.
research
Evaluating post-sternotomy recovery protocols at Billings Clinic. Traditional sternal precautions (no lifting over 5-10 lbs, restricted arm movement for 8 weeks) have limited evidence and may delay functional recovery. Analyzing baseline outcomes under the legacy protocol to measure the impact of the new "Keep Your Move in the Tube" (KYMITT™) approach, which promotes earlier mobilization while maintaining sternal protection.
Contributing to statewide trauma coordination proposals addressing rural Montana healthcare access challenges. Prototyping EMS coordination platforms with real-time hospital capacity tracking and satellite communications.
Developed Python-based automated speech segmentation system for EEG/ERP neuroscience workflows. Statistical analysis and data processing for EEG/ERP research on language impairment in autism and ADHD.
